NOIR POETRY 365
JUNE 10, 2026 - JUNE 10, 2027
365 DAYS = 365 POEMS
For very personal reasons, June 10th is my favorite day to start new writing challenges. The goal of Noir Poetry 365 is to write 365 (or more) pieces of noir poetry (micro poems and lyrical vignettes) in 365 days.
Titles will often be a tribute to well-known works of noir poetry and fiction, as well as to film noir (including neo-noir and tech-noir) and art that reflect the noir aesthetic (e.g., some paintings by Francis Bacon). A few proto-noir works will also be used as inspiration (e.g., Shakespeare's Macbeth and Hamlet).
The poems are shared here on the blog and also on social media platforms (X and BlueSky), using the tag #NOIRPOETRY365.
NOIR POETRY 365 is a personal challenge. However, if this project inspires you to write your own noir poetry, feel free to use the tag in your work.
