NOIR POETRY 365 DAY 007 | POEM #009

RED HARVEST

we once stood silent

among stone waves

outside the Douaumont

tower of muted bones

loss turned crosses

after the red harvest

a white sea

& salt felt heavy

on the blank page

as words were

put to rest
