NOIR POETRY 365 DAY 005 | POEM #007 [IMMORTALITY]
Inspired by the word "Immortality," which is also the title of an early, rare short story written by Dashiell Hammett under the pen name Daghull Hammett.
Originally published in the November 1922 issue of 10 Story Book, “Immortality” has been described as “an obscure, satirical vignette that stands out among his hardboiled catalog as a distinct piece written before he popularized the detective genre.”
Thank you for reading today’s installment of Noir Poetry 365.
